What do Alumni Ambassadors do?

As an Alumni Ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to stay connected to the School of Professional Studies in a variety of ways. These activities might include:

  • Being a guest speaker on an informational webinar for prospective students
  • Participating in an on-campus informational session for prospective students
  • Attending a college event, career fair or classroom visit to meet prospective students
  • Host an informational session at your workplace for prospective students
  • Attend a School of Professional Studies or Gonzaga Alumni social event

What is the time commitment?

As an Alumni Ambassador you can choose to what level your involvement entails. We know your time is valuable and we promise to not take more of it than you are willing to give. Participation at most activities will not exceed about an hour. Any time and effort you give to assist our efforts is appreciated.

Why are Alumni Ambassadors valuable?

Alumni from our programs are not only connected in their communities, but they are a valuable resource for networking, building relationships and enhancing communication with others. By participating in the program you are able to build your professional network within your community with fellow alumni as well as support the School of Professional Studies with awareness regarding its programs.

Connect with the Alumni Association

As an alumni or current graduate student, you can join the Alumni Association and begin connecting with fellow Zags outside the classroom. Share your pride of being a Zag with thousands of students and alumni who value the traditions of Gonzaga and who celebrate their identity as a Zag. The Alumni Association was designed to provide additional opportunities to professionally network, cheer on the Zags, host University speakers, and mentor current and potential students.

Alumni Chapters

Joining your region’s alumni chapter is one of the best ways to meet fellow Zags near you. Chapter membership provides an extensive network of professional contacts throughout your area who all take pride in being a Zag. If you are moving to a new area, your Alumni Chapter can be a perfect place to start building your new community, and as a member of your Zag Nation chapter, you can meet, mentor and help other Zags.

View the interactive map to find the chapter closest to you. Be sure to like your region’s Alumni Chapter on Facebook to stay up-to-date on events, ticket promotions, campus dates, and Zag happenings in your area. Many chapters hold lively “Zag Watch” parties during basketball season and participate in various service projects throughout the year.

Career Center & Gonzaga Alumni Mentor Program (GAMP)

Together, the Alumni Association and Career Center facilitate the Gonzaga Alumni Mentor Program (GAMP). Students and alumni are matched with mentors who share similar career fields, geographic locations or other interests. The program’s primary goal is to establish a relationship between the mentee and mentor to facilitate better career decision-making and the development of a network that can result in increased job opportunities. Consider continuing Gonzaga’s commitment to serving others by signing up as a mentor today!
