Financial Resources for MSN Health Systems Leadership Students
The HIMSS Scholarship awards 1 scholarship annually to a masters and PhD student enrolled in a program related to the healthcare information and management systems field. In addition to the $5000 scholarship award, the leadership nursing master’s online student winner will also receive an all-expense paid trip to the Awards Banquet at the Annual HIMSS Conference and Exhibition.
The AHIMA Foundation Merit Scholarships offer master’s students a $2,000 award for students pursuing a career in areas related to health information management or health informatics
The MGMA Western Section Scholarship is available for individuals residing in MGMA Western section states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming) who are current MGMA members and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management.
The Bachrach Family Scholarship for Excellence in Health Care Administration, sponsored by David Bachrach, FACMPE, and Family, is available to individuals enrolled in a graduate program in health care administration who maintain academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale) or better and whose career interests may lead them to a position in medical practice administration. All eligible applicants should apply, but preference will be given to applicants from a disadvantaged background and/or the first person in their family to pursue a graduate degree.
The Leaders Scholarship is sponsored by Academic Practice Assembly, Anesthesia Administration Assembly, Integrated Physician Services Executives Assembly, and in recognition of Ernest S. Moscatello; Edgar J. Saux, FACMPE; Robert W. “Win” Baker; Charles Wallace, MD; and past presidents of ACMP. Individuals enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management are eligible; including leadership nursing masters online students from Gonzaga.
The Richardson-Sargent Memorial Fund grants are available for individuals seeking Fellowship in ACMPE and who wish to pursue professional development and continuing education through attendance at conferences, workshops and seminars sponsored by nationally recognized professional associations or accredited colleges or universities, or by pursuing a course of relevant study at an accredited college or university while also actively engaged as an executive in a group practice of medicine.
The Richard L. Davis, FACMPE – Managers Scholarship is for individuals currently working in medical practice management who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management.
The Richard L. Davis, FACMPE/Barbara B. Watson, FACMPE – National Scholarship is accessible by individuals who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management.
